The raising of melipona bees (native stingless bees) is an initiative that combines conservation, education and income generation for local communities. These bees are essential pollinators of the Amazonian forest and produce honey with unique medicinal properties.

Through this program:

• We train local families in meliponiculture techniques
• We produce high-quality native bee honey
• We conserve bee species threatened by deforestation
• We educate visitors about the importance of pollinators

We work closely with the communities of El Progreso and San José, generating employment opportunities and sustainable development. More than 90 workers come from these communities, and more than 20 families actively participate in our conservation and tourism initiatives.

• Training in tour guiding and guest service
• Purchase of local inputs for our kitchen and operations
• Support for local entrepreneurship
